Book Club
Far to the north of the city of Rome, on the frontiers of the ancient Empire, in the closing years of the second century after Christ, there flourished a Bishop of the Church who proclaimed the Faith once delivered in words which still echo down the corridors of time. St. Irenaeus was born and raised in Asia Minor, in one of the cities where the Apostle John excercised Apostolic overisght. Irenaeus personally met and heard the great Bishop and martyr St. Polycarp whom St. John had ordained to the ministry. He later went north as a missionary to the land of Gaul (France) where he became Bishop of the church in Lyons. His book The Demonstration of the Apostolic Preaching, is a manual which proclaims the Person and work of our Lord as One in Whom the Old Testament types and prophecies are fulfilled. Join us as we explore a rare written treasure of the ancient Church, and discover its continued relevance for believers today.

Saint Francis is a conservative Episcopal Church in The Woodlands, TX. Our mission is to be evangelical, provide a correct and accurate education of scripture and the writings of the Apostolic Fathers, but above all to worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in truth and sincerity. Our form of worship is liturgical, following the Reformed Episcopal Church edition of the 1662 and 1928 Book of Common Prayer. The Reformed Episcopal Church has been serving our Lord since 1873. Saint Francis Reformed Episcopal Church became established in The Woodlands, TX in 2004.
