We women who came into the Reformed Episcopal Church from other less orthodox branches of the denomination know what a special thing we have found here in the REC. The
convergence of the beautiful Anglican liturgy with sound, orthodox theology is so very precious for a deep and rich experience for worshipping our sovereign Lord; we know we would be remiss to keep this to ourselves. As well, we know it is our duty to use what talents God has given us as women and as individuals to reach out to the world around us  -- to minister love and service, and encourage others to get to know us and come and worship with us. We are called to live the Great Commission ...

 Such is the message of Donna Partow, the best selling author and Christian communicator who is the featured speaker at the First Annual International Spiritual Enrichment Conference, sponsored by the REC’s Committee on Women’s Ministry. The conference is being hosted right here in Houston and is taking place June 26 - 28, 2009. Donna Partow’s style is at once humorous and energizing; her message enriches the spirit while she motivates her audience to action. She writes:

 “People ask how I landed in ministry. Here’s how it went down. The
angels were having a bad week and God knew they needed a good laugh. He
spotted me living in a trailer off the New Jersey Turnpike and smiled from ear-
to-ear. “Hey, everybody, watch this. I’m going to give this woman a worldwide
ministry!” Rumor has it the angels laughed for a month. I’m on the planet for
one reason: to demonstrate that God has absolutely no standards. He’ll take

mess you’ve made, he will astound a watching world with what he can do.”
