KNOWING ST. FRANCIS MEMBERSHIP IS UNDERSTANDING OUR DOCTRINE THAT WE SHARE

 MISSION STATEMENT

To worship the Triune God, to proclaim the truth, and to equip the saints, all according to the Holy Scriptures”  If you notice, our Mission Statement has four parts, and here is how we are reaching these goals:. MORE

 OUR FUTURE GOALS

Building  We are trusting the Lord to direct us at the right time to the right location and with the money to purchase our own building.  Right now we are meeting at the Community Center at The Woodlands. (See driving instructions at the top of the screen.)  We currently have over $225,000 in the bank, and we’re debt free, though not all of that money is earmarked for a building.

ClassicalChristian School  A very long term goal is to start a classical Christian school.  We strongly believe in the Christian education of the covenant seed whom God has given us to rear for Him.

Anglican Sunday School Curriculum  There is an independent group at St. Francis who are working to write a truly biblical based curriculum for all ages. The emphasis will be covering the Bible every three years with a view toward Confirmation. The curriculum will be for all ages. Our goal is to have the first year ready the fall of 2010.

OUR PASTOR

The rector is the Rev. Dr. Curtis I. Crenshaw, a former Presbyterian Church in America pastor, who has been a presbyter in the Reformed Episcopal Church since May 1991. MORE

HISTORY OF ST. FRANCIS

We began in January of 2004 with a Bible study in a private home. Some were concerned over the state of The Episcopal Church and its denials of the historic doctrines of the faith, as well as some of the sexual sins of priests and bishops that were being justified. Others just wanted to attend a sound, biblically based church with emphasis on biblical worship. So we began with 12 people, that soon became 8 people, and we are now about 75 people. We had our first worship service on Ash Wednesday in 2004. The Community Center here in The Woodlands is our third place to rent because we keep outgrowing our spaces!.

  CHALLENGE FOR YOU

We are looking for people who want to build something long-term. We are a young church that intends to grow. Will you make the commitment to be one of our families to make this happen?
