CELEBRATING CHRIST IN ALL WE DO

 CONFIRMATIONS/BAPTISMS

St. Francis REC has yearly Confirmation classes, and baptisms happen whenever we have someone new coming into the faith. Confirmation Classes/Baptisms history include:

 PROGRAMS

  • Book Club
The book club meets the second and fourth Sunday nights n a private home of a hosting parishioner. There is a pot-lucj dinner at 6:00 PM, followed by a group discussion about the current book, and led by Father Crenshaw or someone who is very able. Ends at 8:00PM sharp so that parents with kids can get home.
  • Youth Acolyte Program
The youth of St. Francis are part of our weekly worship by assisting as acolytes. Additionally, they assist at lay lectors on designated Youth Sundays.
  • Youth Group
2009 saw some exciting developments in our youth group programming. Our aim is to equip our young Christians for a lifetime of effective and doctrinally-sound service. Our activities include mission work, fun-for-a-purpose outings, food bank assistance, as well as cooperatives with the youth programs of other local anglican churches.
  • Lydia's Legacy
For young women to "seasoned" citizens, the women of St. Francis enjoy Lydia's Legacy the second Saturday of each month. Those who enjoy knitting and chrochet make beautiful prayer shaws that are in turn blessed and given to those in need of comfort. Meanwhile, those who are not so craft-oriented come and enjoy the fellowship of the ladies of our church. Some of us are truly a hoot. Bible Study and pot-luck luncheon follow.
  • Altar Guild
The care of the adornments of our liturgical worship service is entrusted to those who serve on out Altar Guild.
