 A favorite Biblical passage to cite about the character of God is John 3:16 "God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son...." Submission to God, however, requires that we must also accept the next admonition from that passage, that "he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God." (John 3:21). Since receiving salvation requires that we repent and turn to Christ, we must be clear on what is right and what is wrong.
