Article 19:
Of The Church
What about the church ?!?
Basically, we are talking about three major qualities a church is supposed to have:
- A congregation of faithful men and women (and young adults!)
- A place where "the pure Word of God is preached" - good Bible-centered preaching/teaching
- A place where "the sacraments" are "duly administered" - we are to come together and gather around the altar worship and for Holy Communion
If we do this, then we will be effective in the greatest calling of a Christian:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matt 28:19-20)
